A WORD FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Jorice SAMUEL, Chairman of the International Scientific and Technical Committee
Jicable’27 Conference will provide a unique forum for sharing the latest advances in insulated power cable systems and their applications within an evolving energy landscape.

As electrification accelerates worldwide, cable technologies are becoming increasingly critical to enabling the energy transition, integrating renewable energy sources, strengthening power networks, and supporting the development of offshore and interconnection projects, while taking environmental impacts into account.
Jicable’27 will bring together researchers, utilities, system operators, manufacturers, consultants, and young professionals from around the world to exchange scientific knowledge, technical innovations, operational experience, and lessons learned from major projects.

We warmly invite the global cable community to contribute and help shape the discussions that will define the future of our industry.

*Jorice Samuel is Chief Technology Officer of Nexans Power Transmission and Chair of the Jicable’27 Scientific & Technical Committee. He leads technology strategy, innovation, and R&D activities for high-voltage submarine and land cable systems supporting the global energy transition. After earning a PhD in Nanocomposites, he spent the past 15 years in the power engineering industry, holding a variety of leadership across engineering, product development, testing, and industrial management. More recently, he served as Plant Manager of Nexans' Charleston facility, in the United States. He is now based in Oslo, Norway.
